Now we need to prepare to send the footage into post-production for the final edit, color correction, and for sound and music to be added before it's ready to be released into the world. But first, I want to thank my multi talented team who's making my dream come to life:
Primary Actors: Andy Scott Harris – Carl, the troubled child; Leslie Stevens – Annika, the mother; Carlton Wilborn – Zeb, the father and pastor; Dee Wallace – Elizabeth, the psychologist; Patrick Nicolas - Carl's brother; MacKenzie Clayton – Lexi, Carl's sister; Eric St. John – Officer Sullivan; and Robert Kingston Phillips Green - Officer Newell.
My stunning Production Team: Andres Barahona – Producer; Jolene Adams – Director; Zac Heath – Line-Producer; Carmen Cabana – DP/Cinematographer; and Susana Hornil – Co-Producer.
Music and Sound: Wynne Adams, Eric St. John, Jonathan Firstenberg, and Michael Nicastro on sound.
Locations: NE – former Mayor Gerald & Deb Reimers, Sharon Loy, Pam Lammers and the people of Ravenna, Nebraska... CA – The EEG Institute and the Othmer family of Woodland Hills.
Recently I've talked with Heath Ryan about employing his help with post-production services. He's very interested and with his superb editing and finishing skills, he can take our amazing footage and make it Academy Award material as we believe will happen. Heath has presented the proposed budget and even with several professional breaks, we still need to raise nearly $100,000 to complete THE BOARDER Boarder as we'd like.
Now, you may ask, exactly how do we plan to raise those funds?
Fundraisers Susana Hornil and Daniel Hall follow their lively imagination and make fundraising come to life. With an MBA in International Business, Susana works with investors throughout the investment process. She also applies for grant monies while managing our website. www.theboardermovie.com. Within the next weeks, two fundraising Internet sites, www.kickstarter.com and www.indiegogo.com will be up and running. Both are well known sources for donations. And Daniel, our newest team member, applies his advanced computer skills to a possible solution by designing and monitoring a ground-breaking, fundraising campaign on www.IMVU.com.
Susana and I have also been talking to potential investors, both American and International. It will take $100K to complete the entire project, but we definitely need $60,000 to begin the post-production process as soon as possible. The entire process can take about 12 weeks, so if we are able to get started immediately, the project could be completed by about early October 2011, at the soonest. See what I mean about needing to move on the project?
The one point my entire team agrees upon is that we do not want to put THE BOARDER project on hold. I recall discussing the need for funding this fantastic project with all of you at one time or another... which, of course, is the why of this letter. As you see, time is of the essence! We need your help!
Please send this letter on to friends, family, to anyone who may be open to helping us fund post-production services. No donation or investment is too small-- or too large! Our business consultant, Craig Meyer, CPA, (308-380-4213), Susana Hornil (310-866-3476) and I (308-383-8442) are available to answer questions or for those who has an interest in bringing THE BOARDER home.
Children and their families cannot be helped by this project if it is left in the can. After all this time, I still believe THE BOARDER is God-driven... there is no other way to explain the series of miracles that has brought us to today and to the breathtaking footage that begs closure.
I thank you and all those who, although perhaps not listed, have gifted us with prayers and the funds that have met our needs so far! We look forward to hearing from you.
Your generosity takes my breath away and I thank God for you daily.
Jane E Ryan
