Carmen Cabana, our cinematographer, and I spent several days scouting out several fantastic locations in which we'll shoot the scenes in Ravenna. We're both overwhelmed by the kindness and generosity of those we met. Carmen will always be touched by your warm welcome and although she may not move to Ravenna she can't wait to return in the summer.
On Wednesday, 2/4, the noon meeting of the project Volunteers will meet at the Methodist Church. Lunch will again be provided by Sharon Loy of the Printed Page Bed & Breakfast. If you want to help on 'The Boarder' project, just come and join us.
The next step toward making movie magic will be held on Sunday, February 7th, , 1pm -- 6pm at the Ravenna Auditorium. There'll be so much fun available for everyone but I'll just give you hints of what to expect: a fantastic auction, a chili cook-off, a bake-off, and live entertainment. Plus that, I'll have copies of my books – 'The Boarder' and 'Broken Spirits Lost Souls' – available for purchase.
Sunday's event is a great way to builds funds to meet the budget for a movie that could change the lives of many families. Admission is three food items for 'The Boarder' food drive or a free will donation.
If you'd like to donate any items for the auction or to eat, contact Marty at 293-9200. I'm looking forward to seeing you there.
