I hope your days are going well. Mine go fast with only a few incidents of meeting myself coming and going, but that's to be expected! I'm so excited about the upcoming events that I want to share them with you:
Jan. 20th – meeting of the volunteers and heartbeats of the project, at noon for lunch and updates.
Jan. 26th, Tuesday, 7 – 9 pm – dinner plus the first, official unveiling of my new novel, also called 'The Boarder,' with books available for signing and purchase at Ravenna's United Methodist Church. The event will also be an introductory dinner (cost: free will donation) with the introduction of the Director of Photography, Producers, and more, while questions about funding the project and shooting 'The Boarder' will be discussed. The evening will be a landmark event, so please call Marty at 293-9200 to RSVP and I'll be delighted to see/meet you next week.
Feb. 7th, Sunday, 1 - 6 pm – a fundraiser for 'The Boarder' movie will be held at Ravenna's Auditorium -- a day of great food, fabulous deals and even some half-time entertainment! Currently many area volunteers are collecting donations, items to be auctioned. We'll also hold a Chili Cook-Off and a Pie & Cake Cook-Off at that same event.
So when you have items for donation or want to join in the cooking and baking competitions please
contact Marty at 293-9200 with your name, address and phone number so we can arrange to pick up items and put you on our 'good food list.' The price of admission to the event will be 3 canned or boxed items that will be added to the movie food collection.
