Plans for 'The Boarder' are romping right along with our current focus on attracting investors from around Nebraska and raising funds.
The biggest budgetary item in movie making is feeding all those involved. For starters, we're initiating a Food Collection program to defray such costs. You'll soon see containers in area stores put there to collect canned & boxed food donations that'll be used to feed cast/crew, cooks, host families & volunteers.
This is how the program works: During the shoot I'll provide breakfasts to all; cooks from Ravenna churches will prepare noon meals; and host families will make evening meals for their guests. Hosts and cooks will use foods from the food collection rather than deplete their own supplies. I'll also make arrangements with Ravenna Super Foods and cooperative area farmers to purchase meats, produce & dairy from them to be provided to those making the meals.
It's exciting that area families and churches will welcome Ravenna's guests during the shoot. Please give generously of your resources so the Food Collection Program is successful. Extra foods will be donated to Ravenna's Food Pantry.
